A Little Bit Country....A Little Bit NYC!

So I have these amazing daughters! All of them are bright, talented and beautiful, but two of them Keri and Kaitlyn are pretty much quintessential opposites. One is blonde, one is brunette. One loves animals, especially horses, and the other loves fashion. One lives in a small town in Utah and the other lives in New York City.  Yet, they are sisters in every sense of the word! They love just being together and look to each other for guidance and expertise in what the other has mastered. Of course, I adore them both and love to visit the country to see Keri and family. I take in the quiet beauty, hugs and kisses from four darling children, and even a horse ride! And, I love to visit the city to spend some time with my city girl. We love to shop, eat and catch a musical or two! Luckily, both of these daughters are married to great guys who make their mother in law feel totally welcome. I guess they do have something in common!!!

Favorite thing to do..sitting with my hubby

September already!

As much as I love summer it is fun to get ready for fall and feel a bit of cool air blow by. September is always kind of a new beginning for me. I have new students and I actually start some planning for the holidays. This September was the 10th anniversary of 9/11. It was a time to look back at all the heartache, anger and loss, but it was a time to be proud too;  proud of who we are, proud of how we are healing, proud of how we are rebuilding, proud to be American, proud to call this great land home!

Looking forward to pumpkin soup, sweaters, apple crisp and time with family and friends.

Summer love

I just can't get enough summer, which is kind of funny since in San Diego it's pretty much summer all the time. I love the relaxed time in the sun, flip flops, trips to anywhere, beach days, beach evenings, swimming with the kids and dinner outside. Oh did I mention peaches??
This year however, the best beach was the Dead Sea...laughing, floating and covered with the soft clay that is supposed to make your skin beautiful.
Feet in the sand and in the water, that's where I love to be!

First Attempt

Well, I finally did it. I am now officially a blogger! It's not that I have anything amazing to say. I just want to keep a journal of sorts about my amazing family. So here goes.....

I have a husband who just happens to be the love of my life. We have eight children. Four of them came To me and four of them came Through me. I must say, eight is great! We now have 16, yes 16, grandchildren. Although we have had our challenges and bumps in the road, what family doesn't, I can honestly say that they are my greatest blessing! I always dreamed of having a family, but I never dreamed what an adventure that would be. When I was young, I dreamed of having babies of my own. I never dreamed of being a grandma! My dreams just didn't go that far. I am now at a stage in life where my life has surpassed my dreams.
That's a pretty good place to be!
